Over the years this recipe has been passed along as a result of someone
being charged $250 for the recipe at Neiman-Marcus Department Store.
Yield: 112 cookies
Quantity Unit Ingredient
5 cups oatmeal blended
2 cups butter or margarine softened
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
24 ounces chocolate chips
8 ounces Hershey Bar grated
Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
Cream the butter and both sugars with electric mixer.
Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda.
Add chocolate chips and Hershey Bar, mix.
Roll into balls and place two inches apart on cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes in a 375 degree oven.
