Oven Meatballs

This is a combination of Martha Stewart's and Dolores Heiden's meatball recipes. They are good with a barbecue sauce for appetizers or with marinara sauce for spaghetti and meatballs.
 Quantity Unit Ingredient 
1.5 cups Italian bread crumbs or oatmeal
13 ounces evaporated milk
1 onionfinely chopped 
6 cloves garlicfinely chopped 
5 pounds ground beef
1 pound ground Italian sausage
4 eggs
3 Tablespoons parsley
1.5 cups parmesan cheesegrated 
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl lightly mix the bread crumbs or oatmeal, milk, onion, garlic, ground meats, eggs, parsley, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and chili powder.

Moisten hands with water, and roll meat mixture into 1 inch balls. Place on a baking sheets.

If desired, pour barbecue sauce over some of the meatballs before baking.

Bake for 30 - 40 minutes or until no longer pink in center.

For barbecue sauce: combine 2 cups catsup, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon Liquid Smoke, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
