Rice Krispie Bars

 Quantity Unit Ingredient 
0.5 cup butter or margarine
16 ounces marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla
9 cups rice krispies cereal

Melt margarine or butter in a dutch oven over low heat.

Add marshmallows and stir constantly, until completely melted.

Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Add rice krispies and stir until well coated.

Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into buttered 10 x 15 in pan.

Cut into squares when cool.
